Our Assessment & Response Team are trained and experienced Domestic and Family Violence Specialists who intimately understand the impact of living in an abusive relationship. Women can access the Assessment & Response Team over the phone or face to face. Assessment & Response provide –

Our Redlands and Logan teams are equipped to provide immediate support to women and children seeking safety.

For new or re-engaging clients, please note you will be supported by our Intake Team before being referred into our Assessment & Response Team.
HARA-DFSV (Healing and Recovery after Domestic, Family or Sexual Violence)
Our HARA-DFSV workers empower survivors and support their recovery through trauma-informed and client-led practice. HARA-DFSV workers offer personalised support for survivors whilst navigating the health and justice systems.
This support may take place during the presentation at hospital, during police engagement, throughout legal proceedings and to support referrals to specialist services.
The HARA-DFSV program is for all survivors of domestic, family and sexual violence aged 14+; regardless of gender. The HARA-DFSV team align with our holistic approach to wellbeing; supporting from the point of crisis towards recovery and healing.

DFV Court Support and Advocacy
The Centre for Women & Co. provide court based support to women who experience domestic and family violence and who have court proceedings before a Magistrates Court in relation to domestic and family violence matters at Cleveland and Wynnum. Our service is also funded to provide information to respondents and provides information on court processes.
Our Court Support workers provide information, support and assistance to women who are seeking a Domestic Violence Protection Order. (Our team are not able to provide legal advice).
We understand that going to court can be a stressful and difficult experience. Our workers are able to offer:
Information about court procedures.
Assistance in applying for a new order or to vary or revoke the conditions on an existing order.
Pre court visit and orientation.
Support in the safe waiting room and in the court room.
Post court debriefing and information.
Safety planning.
Referral to The Centre for Women & Co. Redlands office for ongoing support.
Referral to other agencies.
