One-stop referral and advice point for General practitioners for Domestic & Family Violence, sexual violence and child sexual abuse across Logan and the Redlands

 

Who are we?

We are specialists who work within a trauma-informed framework at a specialist service in Logan and the Redlands. Our Local Link program offers support for General Practitioners working with patients who are or may be experiencing domestic and family violence, sexual violence or child sexual abuse.


The resources on this page are not to be distributed without explicit consent from The Centre for Women & Co.’s Local Link Team Leader. This includes distributing to clients, patients, practices, social workers, and the general public. You may view the resources on this page but not distribute them further.


 
 

What do we do?

We offer a one-point referral for patients impacted by DFV, sexual violence or child sexual abuse, and offer advice and support for general practices to enable better identification and response to these experiences of violence.

Local Link is part of Brisbane South PHN’s Recognise, Respond, Refer (RRR) Program, which supports primary care to enhance service responses to people experiencing DFV. This service is supported by funding from the Australian Government through Brisbane South PHN.
